     Clifton Dyer is a decorated U.S. Army veteran and federal law enforcement professional with over 20 years of leadership and investigative experience. He is the founder of The Praetorian Group, a veteran-owned private security services company based in Tennessee specializing in Executive Protection, Threat Assessments, Security Consulting, Investigations Consulting and Personal Security Vulnerability Assessments. Clifton brings the same precision, integrity, and mission-first mentality that defined his military and federal careers to his work in the private sector.

     Clifton’s extensive government background includes serving as a Lead Investigator for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and a Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he led complex national security and executive protection operations. He has managed multi-agency investigative teams, conducted high-level threat assessments, and advised senior leadership on matters involving accountability and misconduct.

     Earlier in his career, Clifton spent two decades with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID), where he conducted felony-level investigations and served as a mission team leader responsible for the close protection of senior U.S. defense officials and their foreign counterparts. Clifton is a retired Chief Warrant Officer. He is a Certified Executive Protection Professional and has provided discreet, effective protection services for high-profile private sector clients in recent years.

     Clifton’s breadth of experience spans intelligence operations, counterintelligence, insider threat management, and special victim investigations. He is a licensed armed guard in Tennessee and LEOSA cardholder. He is trained in advanced crime scene techniques, crisis negotiation, and evasive driving, and is known for his calm under pressure and deep operational expertise.
